My practice involves a variety of mediums, from screen printing, working with textiles to painting. Colour is a significant element within my work however it has been challenged as I consider the relationship between my concept and use of material. Within my current body of work, I am exploring the washing machine as a metaphor in its intrinsic and historical connection with women and social class. This subject area has opened my practice and has afforded me the opportunity to play with performance which has challenged my sense of touch and has helped expand my creative palette.
